Quantum Man-Richard Feynman’s Life in Science by Lawrence M. Krauss

by on October 12, 2011

Quantum Man.

I am very, very impressed with how Krauss did pull this off.

This is a very , very good book. Certainly the best biography of a scientist by a scientist I have read. Krauss does not shy away from the hard science and at the same time is quite revealing about Feynman as a man. I wish I had read his book before I finished Fundamentals of Microfabrication. I would have discussed Feynman’s importance in quantum mechanics in much more detail. We all know his ….”there is plenty of room at the bottom.” But his contribution is so much more profound. It could not put Krauss’s book down. I will recommend it to all my students.I wish I knew more colleagues that contributed in such a major way to science and remained fun and down to earth.
